Two sick dogs!

Today when I got up, I let Byson out to the bathroom....and that's when I noticed....he has HIVES! The poor thing. I feel so awful for him. The only thing we think could have caused it is Jason fed him part of a burrito last night....and he was up puking in the night. Here's a picture i took of him (he was very mad that I was taking pictures of him when he didn't feel well....ahaha). It doesn't show how awful they really are in person! We gave him benadryl and put him to bed.

Reggie also has had an ear infection and skin issue for a few weeks. I took him to the vet yesterday and now he has meds to take too.

PURPLE!

Purple is a great color. Jason loves it, and I love it. I think my dogs probably like it too. ahahah. Today I painted our bathroom purple finally! I've been debating whether or not I should do it for about...oh...4 months. It's finally done! I chose a much darker shade because I planned on doing some color washing technique...well...i'm too tired now, and Jason really likes it the way it is....and I think I do too. I forgot to take a before shot....but here it is after.....

Now I'm motivated to paint the computer room. The white wall is killing me...ahahah....

Beautiful Boys...

Today I bought Reggie and Byson new matching collars because their old ones smell and are pretty beaten up. Notice the pictures I've posted. I tried for about 25 minutes to have them sit still (I think I said "Sit" about 400 times) so I could get a picture of the two of them in their new collars....and everytime I'd go to take the picture....Byson would either try to lick me, move, bite Reggie, or chew on the camera cord.......oh brother. AHAHAHAH At one point in the sitting exercise, Byson even obeyed, however sat on Reggie's back. ahahah I wish someone else could have seen it. It was hilarious!!!!

FINALLY THEY GOT TIRED!

This was probably attemp 590....but i'm not good at working this picture thing so I"m leaving it out of order! ahahah You wouldn't think it would be that difficult!!!! ahahahahah

Terrible Twos

Byson got into everything today!...muddy paws all over the kitchen floor and carpet, using the bathroom inside, eating the garbage out of a garbage bag, drinking out of my glass of water, etc. (the list could go on and on). Ahahahha, what a handful. I think he must be at that "terrible two" stage. Right now, he's in his cage sleeping like a baby....

Today I tried to clean out our garage. Let's just say I didn't get too far. I did get some of the basement organized, and in the process, I found a lot of old keepsakes that brought back great memories. That's always fun.
Alright...not much more to say.....Night!

A Weekend Getaway...

I just returned from a weekend getaway with some of my best friends. We meet in Indianapolis every year in June and like always, we had a great time! Our yearly traditions include...two trips to get Maggie Moo's ice cream, shoppining in the area and lunch at Panera on Saturday afternoon, buying a board game at Target to play on Saturday night while eating pizza without plates (we tear the pizza box into 5 pieces and use that), and finding a random church in the area to attend on Sunday before heading our separate ways. This year we also had a surprise belated baby shower for my friend Michelle. I've been home for about an hour and already can't wait for next year's gathering! Here are a few pictures...
Jason also had a guys weekend in St. Joseph, MI with his dad and brothers. He had a wonderful time eating out, watching episodes of "The Office," and hanging out on the beach of Lake Michigan!
Now it's time for a reunion with my baby boys aka, Reggie and Byson! They are a little mad at me right now for leaving them all weekend, so I better go give them some love and attention!

What a way to start our day...

Jason let Byson out this morning, and when he went to let him back in this is what he saw...

I guess Byson likes lawn chairs now. ahahahhaha

And so that I don't leave out Reggie, this is what I see every morning when I look down from our bed...

Sleeping in his bean bag chair like a baby..

Have a great one!

Elephant Ears...

No, I'm not describing Jason's ears...ahaha, jk. Sorry, I won't attempt to make a joke becuase I'm not funny! I've titled this entry "Elephant Ears" because Jason bought me an elephant ear tonight at the carnival going on in town. I meant to take a picture, but in the excitement of eating that delicious, yet unhealthy treat, I forgot! THANKS husband!!!! That made my night!

Also, we received great news today...Jason's parents are adopting a child from another country, and they were given a potential daughter. When they received her picture, they said "She's Beautiful!" We're praying for confirmation from God that this is thee baby that is meant to be a part of the family....baby Alayna. At a later date, if I'm able to, I will post a picture of her!

Happy first official day of SUMMER everyone!

Another great day....

Today Byson got his first rabis shot. He has a very high pain tolerance, which probably explains why it doesn't phase him when he runs into walls (which he does at least 10 times a day). He didn't even notice the doctor giving him the shot. When we arrived they weighed him. He's now 39 pounds...but is considered underweight because his ribs show. Oh brother, I hope he doesn't get too much bigger! He just has too much energy and doesn't seem to care about eating. While we were inside the vet office, Reggie waited in the hot car....but was still glad he got to go for a ride. He heard me say "Wanna go bye bye?" to Byson, and he insisted on going. ahahaha.
I also got to babysit my three little nephews today. My little 3 month old nephew was so precious the whole night. I love babies!!! I better get some sleep now so that I can get up nice and early to welcome the first day of summer!

Car trips are relaxing.....

Here is a picture I thought I needed to include to give everyone a laugh.....

Where does the time go?!

So last night the IT department took us out to a White Sox game. This morning, I slept in later than I wanted to because I got to bed late....but it was a great game and we had a lot of fun! All that to say....where has the time gone today!? I feel like I haven't accomplished much, and I think I set my hopes too high for today! Luckily, I do have some good news to report: Byson is snoring as I type! I found something that calms him down....me typing at the computer while he sits by me. That's how it all started, and now he's sleeping like a baby and has been for quite awhile!
My marathon training has gotten off to a better start this week. My friend Ryanne and I drove to a store in Orland that specializes in the sport of running. We were able to get new running shoes. That has been good motivation for this week of running. Hopefully, I'll continue to keep my training a priority, otherwise I may need one of you readers to come rescue me come October when I'm still attempting to finish the race hours after they've closed the finish line and cars and taxis are honking at me for being in the way! ahahah....All I want to do is finish in the 6 1/2 hour time limit!!!! PRAY!
OK, well I have nothing more to say unless I keep rambling, so with that, I'm signing out! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!!!!

Joining the club...

Well, it looks like I'm giving into the peer pressure of my bible study group and making a blog spot for our family! I have really enjoyed reading updates about my friends and their life happenings, so now Jason, Reggie, Byson, and I have a place (even though I think I'll be the one to post) to tell you about our life! Life gets a little crazy here at the Aukerman household (as I'm sure does at yours also), and I keep pretty busy...so I apologize now for slacking off if that happens! As of now, we're one big happy family. Byson is keeping us on our toes as any 6 month old puppy would, and Reggie, as always, is being mommy's little angel. Jason is keeping busy working at ONU, and I'm celebrating the fact that it is summer break and after a busy week of finishing my first master's class last week, I'm trying to relax a bit!
